Descend into the center of the female pelvis for a deep inward journey of breathwork, movement and de-armouring.
Armouring is a pattern of physiological tension and altered energy flow that becomes lodged in the body in response to overwhelming experiences.
An armoured pelvis looks like:
chronic hip tension
genital numbness
oversensitivity
challenges with arousal and orgasm
Through gently working with the whole body and the pelvis, this experiential workshop seeks to restore sensation and energetic flow.
We’ll begin with an opening circle, sharing intentions and creating a container of safety for all participants. We’ll then move into some gentle hip openers, and a tremoring practice (known as TRE) to begin unwinding the psoas muscle and fascial network around the pelvis.
This will be followed by some breathwork and inner energetic practices to begin dialoguing with the body and gain a deeper understanding of what we are holding, and what our bodies require for its release.
Finally, we’ll move to a guided hands-on practice of self-dearmouing. Participants will have their own yoga mat, along with some organic castor oil for the massage. The goal of our self-touch will be to find areas of tension, to return awareness into the body, and facilitate the integration energetic flow in our pelvic. Throughout this process, a number of experiences may arise, including powerful emotions, memories, or arousal. All experiences are welcome in the space.
We’ll end our de-armouring practice with a period of silent integration, journal and the option to share parts of your experience with the group.

What if I get my period?
This is a frequently asked question when participants are signing up for genital bodywork.
If the workshop happens to coincide with your moon, I encourage you to use the opportunity to come into deeper connection with your blood and work through any layers of cultural shame you may be carrying. This window of time during your cycle is wonderfully supportive for introspection, and can help facilitate a deeper conversation with your body.
Please come and participate no matter where you are in your cycle. Towels are provided. Refunds will not be issued for getting your period.
Investment
Early Bird: $120 per person before Oct 15th

A quick note
For anyone wishing to attend, please be aware that I’ve made an exception for one person (a regular client of mine, whom I know well at this point) to attend via zoom, due to special circumstances. She will be participating fully with her camera on. The rest of the event will be limited to in-person participation.
